Kalmus Optical was opened in 1949 by Leon Kalmus, who's granddaughter is still a patient of ours. The original store was at 254 E. 86 St.

Our optometrist, Myron Singer, joined Kalmus Optical in May 1963 and is still with us.   Ownership was transfered to Vitaliy Imas in November 1996 who continues to provide high quality eye care .
